last week we had a real great day ( thanks Injy!!) Injy invited me to go join the new members to the Sustainable Development Association (SDA) , the new members are very activ and are looking for a better future for them and for Egypt through there participation at Alexandria First International Module United Nations. The day was great we had food and we were singing dancing, watching the sun go deep into the see and say ( Teisshshhh) we had a meeting also to discuss some future activities and also concerning WSIS. Guy's that was really a great day :) , nice meeting you all.
since January they simulated the work of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) with the main theme of "Re-evaluation of the MENA performance towards the achievements of the 8 MDGs in the Middle east and North Africa
( MENA) Region" and the sub themes of " Political Participation" and " Good Governance".
The Model is a student-to-student activity run by the youth members of the SDA. The Selected 35 youth participants attended a preparatory course to learn how to debate and negotiate as well as how to set a plan for the MENA countries to achieve the 8 MDGs.
The Model's goals were to introduce the Alexandria Students to the experience of the UN model and to raise their awareness of development issues as well as the UN Millennium Declaration and the MDGs. In addition, it aimed to hone their communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
The team came up with a set of suggestions and recommendations that can be implemented among youth and civil society and was published in a book sponsored by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina , the Youth Employment Summit Egypt Network and the Russian Center of Culture and science.
I was really so happy to see the power coming from young Egyptian leaders, and I am sure many other youth in E

gypt could also be so active and future leaders, but looking for someone to guide them and show them the way to achieve there goals, so thanks to SDA Team for helping youth in Alexandria putting their first step on their way to achieve their goals for a better Egypt, I wanted to Thank Fathy, Kariem, Hitham Khaled, Saf Saf, Injy and every one i didn't mention here you all did a great job guy's :)
